Creating compelling business messaging for more than 20 years

Susan is the founder and principal of CQ Communications: The Clarity Quotient. She has been designing and creating clear and compelling business messages for more than 20 years. Susan began her communications career at Northwest Airlines. Sixteen years later, after stopovers in Corporate Communications, Finance and Sales, she landed in the world of new business.

For the next seven years, Susan focused her energy as the Vice President of Visual Communications at Spoken Impact, working with a wide variety of clients from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups. There, she worked with teams to create presentations whose message was succinct and memorable, to help them become polished and confident presenters, and to design PowerPoint presentations that were unique and effective.

By combining her passion for communications and design, she has made it her mission to identify and bring to clients the most effective methods to ensure their message is understood, remembered, repeated and acted on. In addition, one of her professional goals is to save audiences everywhere from “Death by PowerPoint!”

In January 2009, Susan launched CQ Communications: The Clarity Quotient, where she works with clients to transform their often complex & cluttered message into a compelling business story that is well told. Increasing their Clarity Quotient is the first step on that journey.

Susan is a creative, energetic and laser-focused consultant, who thrives on bringing clarity and life to indistinct messages. She is a popular speaker, giving talks and webinars to groups on topics such as visual communications and the correct way to use PowerPoint as a visual medium.

Have I told you that I love you? Thank you for your work on my presentation. It is surely true that people need to stick to what they are good at. I'm a good leader of salespeople and not at all creative! I love creative people!

It’s clear: a high Clarity Quotient means more business.
